How To: Light up wine bottle

This is so cute and fun to display in your kitchen! Just follow these easy steps and you soon will have this adorable night light shining bright!

Here is what you will need

1. empty wine bottle with cork
2. single strand of 35 holiday lights
2. decorative rope trim
3. artificial grapes
4. 0.5" diamond tip drill bit for glass cutting
5. drill
6. hot glue gun

you can buy most of these materials at your local Michaels or Hobby Lobby craft store. To get an empty wine bottle, call a local restaurant and have them save a few for you.

To get started, first rinse clean the empty wine bottle and make sure it's dry.

Next use the drill to make a small hole in the back of the wine bottle. Wet the tip of the drill so that it doesn't get too hot. Make sure to not put too much pressure on the drill when making the hole. Instead, let it drill slowly through the glass. Rinse the bottle once more when you are finished.

Go ahead and string the lights into the bottle through the hole leaving the plug out.

Next use the rope trim and tie it around the stem of the grapes and tie the ends into a knot

Next you want to tie the grapes around the neck of the bottle

Make a loop with the rope at the end of the knot and insert the cork. Use the glue gun to secure the rope

Last thing you do is use a lighter to singe the ends of the rope so it doesn't fray then plug it in and voila!! Such a cute gift to give for the holidays!

ps. how cute is this??
