gearing up for the 4th!!!

I miss y'all soo much!!!! I'm so sorry for being such a terrible blogger lately! I haven't even had time to read my favorite blogs but that is all about to change. I have a lot to fill y'all in on from this past month. I recently went to San Diego and had my 26th birthday last week! I had such a good birthday and felt extremely blessed. I received lots of money and gift cards to my favorite stores. My mom gave me a Michael Kors watch (that I received early so I could wear while in San Diego) that I loveeeeee so much!

I love the Fourth of July mainly because I love summertime, fireworks and the colors red, white, and blue. I have been finding some awesome inexpensive finds at Old Navy, Forever 21, Lulus, and Target that I wanted to share with y'all. Believe me... there will be more posts to come highlighting these great finds! I love getting a good deal.. don't you?

OOTD: Lone Star Jam

1. Old Navy sundress: You will want to be comfortable and wear loose clothing in light colors and fabrics to accommodate the Texas heat. After all, you'll be in the sun for at least 8 hours!

2. Rainbow sandals: Since you will be outdoors in a grassy area, you don't want to wear high heels and it's simply too hot to wear cowboy boots all day. Your feet will sweat! Sandals are your best option. I live in my rainbows. You can never go wrong pairing them with a cute sundress for the summer.

3. Coach cross body bag: My go-to purse option for concerts/festivals/sporting events. Hands free for picture taking and beer drinking! Need I say more?

4. Michael Kors watch: simple, understated jewelry plus you can keep track of when the next band performs.

5. Ray Bans: self explanatory. You will be in the sun... ALL day

6. Straw hat: to keep the sun out of your face and to complete the perfect summery outfit

7. Sunscreen: sunburnt skin is not pretty not to mention harmful so make sure to bring your SPF!

8. Koozie {not pictured}: for your beer. duhhhhh

Scarves!!

I'm obsessed with scarves! I love to wear a solid shirt with skinnies, tory burch revas and a fun, playful scarf to really make an outfit!

This has become my uniform.

I'm addicted to Frenchi boyfriend tees. I love the loose fitted style and the scoop neck not to mention the million colors they come in. I wear them literally all the time! I get mine from Nordstrom BP. They're normally $20 but Nordstrom has tons on sale for $10-12

The scarf I just got about a week ago and it was only $13 at Old Navy -love love LOVE

Holiday outfits

I've put together 3 looks that I think would be great as holiday outfits.

I think tights underneath dress shorts paired with Tory Burch revas would be a cute option for dinner. Express has great options for cardigans, tights, and dress shorts. Add your pearls, a gold watch or gold/black enamel bangles. I've chosen Kate Spade idiom bangles (I'm obsessed!)

The plum colored dress is from Arden B and adorable in my opinion. I would pair this dress with Steve Madden peep toe pumps for a holiday party. How cute is this for NYE?

The third look is a great casual holiday outfit. I've chosen a fair isle sweater from Old Navy paired with skinny jeans and brown riding boots. College Prepster posted about $40 Jolt jeans from Nordstrom BP and they are fab! My favorite skinny jeans are Citizens of Humanity 'avedon' slick skinny jeans in Star (black). They fit amazing and are so soft it hardly feels like you're wearing jeans at all. I could literally sleep in them!

The best part of the holidays is spending time with your family so enjoy and I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL holiday!!

Cheap but CUTE gifts part 1

You can give a great gift and it doesn't have to be expensive! If you have A LOT of people to shop for like I do, then I'm sure these great gift ideas will come in handy. I'm a firm believer that you can get almost anything you want without paying full price.

Some things, like my Tory Burch revas are a true investment, so in my opinion are worth the $200. My favorite outfits are when I pair designer jeans/shoes with cute tops from H&M or Forever 21.

I spend money on staples and bargain shop for everything else. Getting to the point haha here are my picks for gifts under $30
