1. I'm loving that I got to spend an amazing weekend with my family. I went to my nephew's baseball game and had a blast cheering him on! He's quite the first baseman and I couldn't be any more proud.

Friday night I saw Aaron Watson perform at Midnight Rodeo here in Austin and Jon Wolfe opened. I've heard some of his songs before on the radio and loved them, but let me tell you.... he was absolutely fantastic up close and in person.
If you love George Strait (my all time fave ever!!!) then you have got to check this guy out!

I love to two-step, waltz, one-step, half-step... I love how my dress twirls when I spin, I love getting flipped in the air and knowing that the crowd is watching on wishing they could dance like that. I have the time of my life when I'm up on that stage. I don't have a care in the world.. it's liberating really.

This month I'm going to see Josh Abbott Band, Brian Burke Band, Wade Bowen, and Aaron Watson --I'm so excited!! It's been a few months since I have seen a show (Alan Jackson & Chris Young in November)
I love dancing. I love the perfect way a guy asks a girl to dance. Truly southern & very sweet :)

The concerts are usually in smaller venues or honky tonks, not arenas, so it's more intimate when the band performs.

In honor of Country Strong coming out in theaters Jan. 7, 2011, I've dedicated this post to country music!
I'm sure all my fellow southerners listen to country music and I do as well, but I especially LOVE Texas country music; it's an entirely different genre down here in Texas. Austin is the live music capital of the world, which is reason no. 1 why Austin is my favorite city in Texas. I started on my Texas country music journey listening to Pat Green about 10 years ago. From there I fell in love with Aaron Watson, Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen and Josh Abbott Band just to name a few.
This kind of music is also called 'red dirt' music as well as Texas country because EVERY artist hails from the lone star state; mostly from the Texas hill country like Randy Rogers Band.
